Dizzy Gillespie was an American jazz trumpeter, bandleader, and composer. He is credited with creating the “bebop” style of jazz. He was also known for his amazing cheeks, which were said to be able to inflate to twice their normal size.
Gillespie’s cheeks were amazing because they allowed him to produce a unique sound on the trumpet. By inflating his cheeks, he was able to create a “buzzing” sound that was different from other trumpet players of the time. This helped him to stand out and made him one of the most popular jazz musicians of his era.
