Resistance Band Pull Apart

The resistance band pull apart is an upper-body exercise that targets the muscles in the back, shoulders, and arms. To perform the resistance band pull apart, start by standing with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a resistance band with both hands, palms facing down. Raise your arms to shoulder height and keep them straight. With control, pull the band apart by moving your hands out to the sides, keeping your arms straight. Pause, then slowly bring your hands back together to the starting position. Repeat for the desired number of reps.
In CrossFit, the resistance band pull apart is often used as a warm-up exercise or as part of a workout that includes other upper-body exercises or weightlifting movements. The resistance of the band can be adjusted to increase or decrease the difficulty of the exercise, and the number of reps and sets can be modified to suit different fitness levels. Proper form and technique are important to prevent injury, and a qualified coach can provide instruction and guidance to ensure safe and effective execution.
